Apple has released three new character posters for Overture’s The Crazies, starring Timothy Olyphant, Radha Mitchell and Danielle Panabaker.

They’re pretty creepy… some of the most disgusting posters I’ve ever seen actually!

You can view them in full high resolution by clicking on the thumbnails below.

2010 Blockbuster Films: The Ward
By Fredy on January 8, 2010 | Filed in: Articles, The Ward | With No Comments »

Both The Crazies (coming February 26) and The Ward (coming September 24)   are considered interesting 2010 material at the pictures. Especially the latter, and that’s no surprise. Not only is the cast leaded by Amber Heard and Danielle Panabaker but the director, John Carpenter, is a horror legend!

Here’s a small quote coming from WalesOnline:

Following on from a year of big hits (stand up Star Trek) and equally big misses (we’re looking at you GI Joe), Matt Thomas takes a look at what 2010 has in store at the pictures…

SEPTEMBER

Ben Affleck writes directs and stars in edgy thriller The Town (10th) while horror maestro John Carpenter flexes his shock muscles with return-to-form The Ward (24th).

New Look… Again!
By Fredy on January 7, 2010 | Filed in: Site Updates | With No Comments »

Yeah, we have a brand new look again! Sorry for the quick change but this is a far more stable and updated layout. This is Version #3 created by myself over at VX Studio (Opening soon!) and it features a couple of pics from Danielle’s 2009 BlackBook Magazine photoshoot (which I love). The whole site is now stable but be sure to let me know if something looks weird or out of place.

We do encourage our visitors to use Mozilla Firefox to browse our website, it’s a safer, faster, friendlier web browser. There are different effects not only here but pretty much all over the net that you’re probably missing without Firefox (especially IE users!).

Feel free to comment, tweet, etc.

Behind the FX of The Crazies
By Fredy on January 4, 2010 | Filed in: The Crazies | With No Comments »

Back on September, 2009 we posted a video interview with Rob Hall, the man behind Almost Human, company responsible for the look of the new infected ‘crazies’. Here’s a brand new interview:

This is where they stash the bodies. And it’s not a pretty scene. These two corpses are ripe, bloated masses of tattered clothes, congealed blood and other body fluids – both housed in the trailer of Almost Human FX. The wonderfully macabre aspect of this rolling meat locker is that it’s just a stone’s throw away from Georgia’s Peach Country High School where The Crazies – a remake of the ‘73 George Romero film of the same name – has set up production when Shock Till You Drop visits the set…

ShockTillYouDrop.com: You’re a horror fan, how does this update hold up?

Rob Hall: What I appreciate about the script of this movie is it’s actually pretty awesome. It extrapolates a lot on the themes that Romero had, but it definitely currents it and not in a stupid, dumbed-down, PG-13 way. It actually takes it and amps up the violence, amps up the infection, and amps up the horror of it which I think is needed. So I appreciate the tone of it. It’s a lot darker, I think, than the original movie.

Escape The Ward September 2010
By Fredy on January 3, 2010 | Filed in: The Ward | With No Comments »

First news of the year! John Carpenter’s The Ward is now aiming for a September 24, 2010 release according to the official Facebook page of the film, we’ll have to wait for confirmation though:

John Carpenter returns to the director’s chair to create The Ward, which stars Amber Heard (Zombieland) and Danielle Panabaker (Friday the 13th) as Kristen and Sarah. Currently in post-production a movie still from the film is available that shows starlette Amber Heard distressed and pursued by the police. Heard plays the lead in the film and her character awakens in a psychiatric hospital with “no memory of her life before being admitted.” Things get worse for Kristen when the other patients in the ward begin to disappear one by one.
