ABC Family Passes On “Intercept”
By Fredy on February 6, 2012 | Filed in: Girls Against Boys, Intercept | With No Comments »

Sad news, fans. We hear from Danielle Panabaker herself that “Intercept”, the pilot shot last November for ABC Family will not be moving forward. The actress wrote the following statement approximately two hours ago, via her Twitter account:

@dpanabaker Sad to say that “Intercept” will not be moving forward :( I feel very lucky I got to work with such talented people

Deadline.com has also corroborated this:

ABC Family is moving ahead with a series order to Bunheads, its dance drama pilot from Gilmore Girls creator Amy Sherman-Palladino. It will join another new ABC Family series that was picked up last week, comedy Baby Daddy. I hear that the cable network’s 2 other pilots from the current batch, drama Intercept and comedy Village People, are not going forward.

This comes as a shocker after mostly positive feedback for the pilot. I was personally ready to see the project turn into TV series.

But not everything is bad news… On a brighter note, I hear there will be an update about ‘Girls Against Boys’ later this week! As usual, I’ll keep you posted.
