The Ward debuted earlier today at the Sitges International Film Festival. Let’s hope it gets a distribution deal this time! I will be posting new reviews as soon as they become available.

Despair and depression hit everyone differently. Filmmaker Michael Melamedoff explores the unusual grieving habits of a man whose wife has not died, but left him after he refuses to participate in a “swing” group. Faced with a family who is unsympathetic, Joshua, a high school teacher, begins dating a former student. Thus begins an investigation of the grieving process. This sensitive film explores how interpersonal interactions effect personal decisions, some profoundly so. Melamedoff goes beyond simply strength or “weakness” to confront the range of human emotions and events that lead to fateful decisions in one’s life.

A blonde Danielle Panabaker attended the “Law & Order: Los Angeles” Premiere at Drai’s Hollywood on September 27, 2010 in Hollywood, California. She looked very pretty!

Her new look is a nice change =) Seems to be a strawberry blonde or something… I actually don’t know much about hair but I like it!

The 17th Austin Film Festival is gearing up to kick-off next month.

The annual event takes place from October 21-28 in Austin, Texas and Weakness is now officially part of its Narrative Feature Competition! No premiere date has been announced yet but we’ll keep you updated.

Directed by Michael Melamedoff, Weakness is a drama about a suburban high school teacher who loses his wife and his moorings during a summer break.  The film stars Bobby Cannavale, Danielle Panabaker and June Diane Raphael.

Just a few hours ago Danielle Panabaker attended the world premiere of The Ward at the Toronto International Film Festival. Co-stars Amber Heard, Lyndsy Fonseca, Laura-Leigh and Mika Boorem also showed up at the Ryerson Theatre for the Midnight Madness event. Danielle showed up in a very sexy outfit, looking stunningly beautiful! Enjoy the first pictures, a lot more will be added soon!

Word has been leaking out here and there about certain films playing in the popular Midnight Madness section of the Toronto International Film Festival, but now the complete lineup for that section of the fest’s 2010 edition has been announced. And a few eagerly awaited fright features are on the list…

The Midnight slate includes the world premiere of The Ward, which marks John Carpenter’s return to features after almost a decade (since 2001’s Ghosts of Mars). The supernatural thriller stars Zombieland and All the Boys Love Mandy Lane’s Amber Heard as a teenage girl who becomes the latest inmate at a psychiatric institution beset by a mysterious, malevolent force.
