Finally! The gallery has been updated with screencaptures of Danielle’s emotional performance in Beverly Lewis’ “The Shunning”. The movie premiered last April on Hallmark Channel and was released on DVD on September 13. Perhaps even better news come for German fans since the film is set to have a Blu-ray disc release on January 26, 2012! You can now pre-order your copy right here.

Now, even though “The Shunning” isn’t exactly my type of film, I have to say I thoroughly enjoyed it! It really got to me in several moments and even made me cry a bit (sniff). If you haven’t seen it yet, make sure to get yourself a copy!

Just a reminder fans. The Weakness DVD is out TODAY, you can get your copy at Amazon or iTunes!

The gallery has been updated with a new production still featuring beautiful Danielle Panabaker. You can check it out by clicking on the picture above!

Weakness follows the life of high school teacher Joshua Polansky (Bobby Cannavale), whose world is falling apart: his wife, Elizabeth (June Diane Raphael), wants to start swinging; his mother, Lenore (Phyllis Somerville), thinks she has terminal cancer; and his autistic brother, Pete (Keith Nobbs), who resides at an assisted living home. At school, things get complicated as a love triangle of sorts develops between Joshua and his teaching colleagues, the wise-cracking Bart (Josh Charles), and idealist Katharine (Lily Rabe). When Elizabeth leaves him, Joshua retreats from his responsibilities and begins dating Danielle, (Danielle Panabaker), a former student who has postponed attending college. Joshua’s subsequent regression and indecision fail to mask his anger and hurt, leading to a series of events that force him to reconsider not only his decisions, but the subtle and profound ways that people affect one another.

‘Weakness’ stars Bobby Cannavale and Danielle Panabaker.

Great news for all of us dying to see Danielle’s new film: John Carpenter’s The Ward. According to Amazon the Blu-Ray and Region 2 DVD will be released on May 16th, 2011. I’ve updated the gallery with both releases’ artwork.

But before that, The Ward will have a limited run in US theaters starting April 15, 2011, so hopefully a few of us will be able to see it on the big screen first! Other upcoming theatrical releases include:

As promissed, I’ve updated the gallery with screencaptures from The Crazies DVD special features. There are 4 featurettes, an audio commentary with director Breck Eisner, and a lot more included in both the Blu-Ray and DVD releases, so you should get your copy asap if you haven’t done so yet =)

My personal favorite is the behind the scenes featurette because it includes fragments of interviews with the main cast and crew. Danielle Panabaker appears in the following features:

  • Behind the Scenes with Director Breck Eisner
  • Paranormal Pandemics
  • Behind the Scenes Photogallery (Just one pic =/)
  • Easter Egg – Private Screening (Released online back in February)

Expect video clips from the film next month!

The Crazies Blu-Ray Screencaps
By Fredy on June 30, 2010 | Filed in: DVD Release, Gallery Updates, The Crazies | With 4 Comments »

I have now added screencaptures of Danielle’s performance as Becca Darling in The Crazies!  In the film she plays Judy’s (Radha Mitchell) assistant at the medical clinic in a small town in Iowa, one of the four still sane residents that try to survive an apocaliptic situation when a virus that causes insanity followed by death is spread.

Even though Danielle’s appearance is rather small, she was great in her role. The movie itself is one of the best horror films I’ve seen in years. It isn’t perfect but it’s much better than most recent remakes, including Friday the 13th.

To access the screencaps click on any of the following thumbnails, but please proceed with caution, all of Danielle’s screentime is obviously spoiled. If you haven’t seen the film you should get the DVD!

Expect special features and clips next month!

From the Press Release:
Something strange is happening in the picture-perfect Midwestern town of Ogden Marsh. One by one, the inhabitants are transforming into mindless killers…and no one is immune. On June 29th, Anchor Bay Entertainment will unleash The Crazies on DVD and Blu-ray™ (Pre-book May 27, 2010). A terrifying reinvention of the George A. Romero classic, the Overture Films release shocked audiences with its nightmarish vision of the American Dream gone horribly wrong, as a husband and wife find themselves battling for survival as their friends and family descend into homicidal madness. Directed by Breck Eisner (Sahara) and starring Timothy Olyphant (“Deadwood,” “Justified”), Radha Mitchell (Surrogates), Joe Anderson (Across The Universe) and Danielle Panabaker (Friday the 13th), The Crazies are ready to overtake America all over again! In addition, the film marks the first time an Anchor Bay Entertainment title will be available day-and-date for digital download via iTunes.

The Crazies DVD and Blu-ray™ features more than 90 minutes of bonus features, including several behind-the-scenes featurettes, storyboards, theatrical trailers, TV spots, and much, much more. Look carefully and you might even find an Easter Egg! SRP is $29.98 for the DVD and $39.98 for the Blu-ray™ edition, which also contains a bonus disc with a digital copy of the film. Among the featurettes are a tribute to the original film’s creator George Romero and an insider’s glimpse into the startling special makeup effects created by makeup wizard Robert Hall (“Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles,” Laid To Rest).
